Welcome to my website my name is Terry Bolingbroke, skipper of the Gloria B2, a fantastic new 36 foot Procharter charter fishing boat. She is fully licensed to the Coast Guard Maritime codes of practice and fully insured for twelve persons and carrys all the relevant safety equipment.

She is equipped with state of art electronics including Fish Finders, Sonars Global Positioning GPS, Colour Plotters, Vhf and Radar. The boat has a large comfortable fishing cockpit with plenty of dry seating space for anglers comfort, including modest cooking facilities. Free coffee and tea is on offer all day, as well as an on deck WC for your comfort and convenience.

Gloria B2 is fitted with a Caterpiller V8 375hp diesel engine producing top speeds of over twenty knots and crusing speeds of fifteen knots which gets you out to the hot spots fast.

I have been involved with the charter fishing industry for many years, running the successful charter boat New Unity in the seventies and my old boat Gloria B in the nineties, and with over twenty years with the RNLI your safety is assured.

I run a full time charter boat operating seven days a week from the Essex port of Brightligsea and can cater for partys of up to ten anglers or up to twenty anglers with our sister boat the Sophie Lea who we work closely with.

We also cater for individuals and welcome ladies and children although children must be supervised with a guardian or parent.

Baits can be supplied live and dead, all live baits ordered must be payed for if bad weather stops safe sailing, this is at the discretion of the skipper, a small deposit of £70 is required to book the boat.

Rods and tackle hire can be provided as well as free tuition if required.

We operate in the outer North Thames estuary where miles of shole and sand banks provide fantastic fishing. In the winter (October through to March) you can expect Cod, Skate,Whiting, etc. In the spring (April through to September) Bass Smoothhounds,Tope,Thornback Skate, Mackrel etc can all be caught. In the month of June we can offer tope fishing. Fish sizes up to seventy pounds are not unusual, although some fish we recommend release after catch including Tope and Hounds but all other species can be taken home as long as they are above legal size limits.

Boarding could not be easier, with a floating jetty and no tide restrictions just step aboard, a car park is conveniently located nearby.

From the M25 take junction 28 onto the A12 towards Chelmsford. After 40 miles bear right onto A120 towards Harwich for 5.8 miles then turn right onto A133 towards Clacton. At Frating Green turn left onto B1029 then bear left onto B1027 towards Alresford. At Thorrington continue on B1029 for 2.5 miles and you will arrive in Brightlingsea. Once in Brightlingsea head for the waterfront there you will find the floating jetty were you will board the Gloria B2. Car parking is nearby.

From Ipswich take A12 towards Colchester for 11.3 miles. Then turn left onto A120 towards Harwich then follow instructions as above.

From M11 Junction 8 take A120 towards Braintree for 28 miles then take A12 towards Colchester for 7.5 miles then bear right onto A120 towards Harwich then follow instructions as above.
